Our Strategy for ChangeExcellence can be obtained if you care more than others think is wise, risk more than others think is safe, dream more than others think is practical, and expect more than others think is possible. ~Author Unknown
CARE
Feeling concern or interest about an issue speaks to our emotions, but we must provide assistance to embrace the proactive meaning of care. When we think AND act from our hearts, we discover that small deeds and words of encouragement have an immeasurable impact for those in need. One of our organization’s goals is to promote the power of one by inspiring our volunteers to act within their own communities.
When heart and mind connect with spirit and purpose, there is nothing we cannot do. ~Linda Chandler
COMMIT
We become personally invested in an issue when we commit our time and resources. Whether it is teaching a new skill to a small group, volunteering at a shelter, or assisting someone with errands, our commitment grows in direct proportion to the effort we make. We all have busy lives—we can’t do everything, but we can all do something. Both those who give and those who receive share in the investment by agreeing to embrace the concept of “pay it forward” and build a foundation for those who come next.
There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results. ~Kenneth Blanchard
CONNECT
Our goal is to unify ideas, resources and people as we create quality projects built upon collaboration. Our hope is you will actively participate as you connect with others who share your passion for helping others and expand upon existing community services. Also, a great initiative is only effective if those who would benefit most are empowered to help create their own solutions. You can help by sharing your ideas, suggestions, and experiences.
Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together. ~Vista M. Kelly
CAUSE
Be a cause for change rather than just join one. Compassionate, positive thinking is an important part of the process, but ultimately what we do or fail to do is what makes a difference. Research shows that when certain protective factors are present in families and communities, the health and well-being of children increase and they are less likely to face abuse or neglect. You can make a difference by volunteering and donating funds. Together we can help families thrive, not just survive.
We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results. ~Herman Melville
